"Everywhere in nature we are taught the lessons of patience and waiting. We want things a long time before we get them, and the fact that we want them a long time makes them all the more precious when they come." Joseph F. Smith

Nauvoo!

This year for the Smith Family Reunion we went to Nauvoo! 76 people, 2 buses,   and gone for 8 days!! It was so much fun!
The sister missionaries were so cute and loved to talk to the girls!
We learned how to make a rope!

We practiced walking on stilts!
Trying on the missionaries hats!
Wagon rides!
Carthage Jail! It was so awesome to be able to go inside and see where they stayed and the actual bullet hole is still in the door!!

Dancing with the missionaries!
Dressing up!
Nauvoo temple!! The kids were able to do baptisms for the dead and the adults did a session!
The Elders were so cool! They wanted to be roped!

Cute little pioneer cousins!

Old Nauvoo cemetery!
Winter Quarters Temple!  Joseph and Emma's graves!! All in all it was a super fun trip!! So awesome to learn more of the church's history and to see where the pioneers lived!! My most favorite part were the plays!! So fun, with the singing and the dancing!!
