"Everywhere in nature we are taught the lessons of patience and waiting. We want things a long time before we get them, and the fact that we want them a long time makes them all the more precious when they come." Joseph F. Smith

Oklahoma, first 2 weeks!

Hailey met her very, very tall Mission President and his wife! He is 7 feet tall! She said they are very nice and he tells you straight up how it's suppose to be! No beating around the bush!
Her companion is Sister Wedemeyer, from California! She has had a difficult life and only her and her older brother are members! She is very nice and likes to play jokes on Hailey! She also loves cows!
She is in a biking area but also has a car! She said the church is 11 miles away and they bike there!
This is the new mace! Hornets spray! They carry this with them wherever they go! And carry it in their hands from their car to their apartment! I guess they live in a sketchy part of town! They are trying to find them new housing!
She said the members are nice but very judgmental! So when new members get baptized they become less active very quickly! It is hard for her companion to understand why they don't want to help because she comes from a nonmember family! Hailey said all someone needs is a Friend! They do have a couple people they are teaching!  She already has the missionary lingo, which she said she would never have! She is doing so good and loves being out and teaching!
